Here’s my fifth NaruSaku story, hope you like it!

Sakura was sitting in a chair, next to Naruto’s hospital bed, watching him rustle around his sleep.
“Uh, Sakura… noo! Sakura-Chan! Aah… no, all my fault… I-I-I hurt… Sa!” Naruto yelled, waking up.
“Naruto, are you okay?” Sakura asked, worried,
“Yeah, I’m fine, just a nightmare,” He replied.
“Naruto, you were talking in your sleep,” Sakura said.
“I was?” Naruto said in response.
“Yes. Naruto, you didn’t hurt me, the Kyuubi did,” Sakura said.
“I know, but, but it was my body and my fault, I-I just wasn’t strong enough!” Naruto said, tearing up.
“Naruto, I’m fine, nothings wrong!” Sakura assured him.
“I know, but, but I could have killed you! I almost did! I-I shouldn’t even be here, I should just leave!” Naruto screamed.
“NO!” Sakura yelled back.
“Sa-sakura-Chan,” He whispered.
“Naruto, don’t even talk like that! I-I don’t know what I would do if you left, I-I,” Sakura stuttered, starting to cry.
“Sakura-Chan, I won’t leave then, I promise,” He replied.
They leaned in and kissed, the kiss deepening with every second. They released and looked into each other’s eyes.
“I love you Sakura,” Naruto said.
“And I love you,” Sakura replied.



The next day, Naruto was released from the hospital and Sakura helped him walk home.
“Sakura! Come on, I need to be training!” He said, sitting up on his bed.
“No way! Not a chance, you have to rest!” Sakura insisted, pushing him back down.
“Sakuraaa!” Naruto said.
“Now, stay down, I’ll be right back with some tea, in the mean time STAY HERE!” She said.
As soon as she got up though, Naruto, slowly stood up, and put on his sandals.
Just as he was about to jump out the window, Sakura came in and yelled, “NARUTO! DON’T YOU DARE! LAY BACK DOWN NOW!”
“O-okay Sakura-Chan,” He said, slightly scared.
“Now, here’s your tea,” She said.
“Uh, thanks,” Naruto said.
“You’re welcome. Naruto, I was hoping we could go have a picnic later,” Sakura said.
“Well, I don’t know, I really need to train,” He replied.
“Pleease…” She said, giving him a cute look and stroking his whiskers.
“Aww, Sa-sakura-Chan, you know ‘Aah’ that’s not fair…” He said, completely blissful with Sakura stroking his whiskers.
‘HA! I knew I could count on this; he just becomes jelly in my hands, when I stroke his whiskers. Now there’s no way he can say no!’ She thought. “Pleease?” She asked again.
“Uh…uh… ‘Aah’ o-okay, sure,” He said, giving in.



Two, hours later, Naruto and Sakura were on their little island, eating Naruto’s delicious cooking.
“See wasn’t this nice?” Sakura said.
“Yes, but it wasn’t fair how you got me to say yes, that’s cheating!” He exclaimed.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” She apologized, caressing her boyfriend’s whiskers again.
“Aaah, Sa-sakura-Chan, I-I forgive you, just… just don’t stop, ‘purr’ please,” Naruto said, purring in bliss.
“Sure thing Naruto, but it’s almost 3 and we should be… WAIT! ALMOST THREE! OH CRAP! I NEED TO GET TO TSUNADE!” She yelled, remembering her errands for Tsunade-shishou. “Sorry Naruto, I’ve got to go, see ya later!” She yelled, running off.
‘Aww, she had to stop,’ Naruto thought. “Oh, well,” He thought to himself.
He had finished cleaning up and was about to leave when he felt a presence behind him, he turned around, but as he did, a senbon pierced his jacket, it went into his arm and he immediately felt sleepy. As soon as he collapsed and a man walked out of the bushes, picked him up and ran away.



He awoke, several hours later, tied up in a cell, in what seemed to be an underground prison.
“HEY! Where am I?” Naruto yelled.
“Oh, awake are you, that was quick. Well, there’s no need to inform you where we are, just that the Akatsuki will be here any moment to take you to be killed,” He said.
“What!? You’re part of the Akatsuki!?” Naruto asked.
“No, I am simply an bounty hunter,” The bounty hunter said.
“Well, don’t count on getting your bounty!” Naruto assured him.
“Haha! We’ll see, we’ll see,” he said, walking away.
Naruto struggled and struggled, but the bounty hunter had anything he could have used.
‘Damn, there’s no way to get out, I’m just stuck here!’ Naruto thought.



~Meanwhile, back at Konoha

Sakura, had finished all her chores for Tsunade-shishou and went back to Naruto’s apartment, she took out her key and went in. (Remember they moved in together at the end of Ayame)
‘I wonder where Naruto is,’ Sakura thought, ‘oh well, he’s probably just out training.’
She went to sleep and woke up the next day at around, 9.
“Naruto?” Sakura said, waking up. ‘Where is he! Now, I’m getting worried, he would have told me if he wasn’t going to come home!’ Sakura thought, really worried.
She ran to Ichiraku’s, then the training ground and finally she ran to Tsunade.
“Tsunade-shishou, have you seen Naruto?” Sakura asked.
“Umm, no Sakura I haven’t, strangely enough,” Tsunade said.
“We had a date yesterday and I forgot about your errands, so I ran off, but I haven’t seen him since then,” Sakura said.
“Well, where were you?” Tsunade asked.
“Just west of the border,” Sakura replied.
“What!? You know Naruto’s not supposed to leave the village, with out some one with him, what if he was kidnapped!” She yelled.
“I know! I’m so sorry! Please help me, I don't know what I’d do if he was taken!” She said, tears running down her face.
“Okay, okay, don’t worry Sakura, we’ll find him,” Tsunade assured her.
She called in anbu, Kakashi and most of their friends including Jiraiya, they all got there in a matter of seconds and just as they did, Gamakichi appeared.
“Gamakichi! What are you doing here, did Naruto summon you?” Jiraiya asked.
“Yep, he’s being held for a bounty from the Akatsuki by some bounty hunter!” Gamakichi replied.
“So, he’s okay?” Sakura asked.
“Yeah, he said that the Akastuki would be coming in about 8 hours,” Gamakichi replied.
“Then we need to go right NOW!” Lee said.
“Okay, Sakura, you Lee, Neji, Shikamaru, Ino and Kiba go and get Naruto. Kakashi, Yamato and Jiraiya take anbu and try to head off the Akastuki, GO!” Tsunade said.
“Yes!” They all shouted, running off at once.



The group ran off, Gamakichi leading them towards a rural area. After about 5 hours, they arrived, the younger group, staying behind, while the others ran in all directions of the castle, they saw on a nearby hill. The younger group discussed their plan, while Sakura sat on the sidelines, they talked for a while, when all of the sudden Sakura just snapped.
“SHUT UP! WE SHOULDN’T BE ARGUING ON HOW TO DO THIS, WE NEED TO RESCUE NARUTO NOW!” She screamed.
“You’re right Sakura, let’s go,” Shikamaru agreed.
The group went into the castle, but all they found was a bleeding man on the floor.
“Who are you and where’s Naruto!?” Sakura demanded.
“I’m… I’m a bounty hunter and your blonde friend was already taken by the Akatsuki just an hour ago,” He said.
“N-n-no… I-I can’t lose… n-n-naruto,” Sakura cried, collapsing to the ground.
“He sent us a message and told us 8 hours, we’re 3 hours early,” Kiba remarked.
“Ha, he got a message to you did he, well I lied to him it was only 4 hours, haha,” He laughed.
“I’LL KILL YOU!” Sakura shouted, jumping up and coming down above him with a punch that was an all-new level of strength. When she got up there was a 8-foot deep crater under her, but no man, Lee had saved him at the last second.
“Lee, what are you doing? He gave Naruto to the Akatsuki!” Sakura said.
“Yes, but he might know where the Akatsuki’s base is,” Neji said.
“I-I do and since they double crossed me, I have no regret in telling you that their base is just east of here. It’s underground and the entrance is under the surface of the river, next to it. Please, kill th-th-them……” the man said, dying.



The group headed toward the river and sent a message to Jiraiya, and told him where they are.
“Here’s the plan, Sakura and Neji, find Naruto and get him out the rest of us will try to hold them off,” Shikamaru said.
“Right!” Sakura, Ino, Kiba and Shikamaru.
“Okay, let’s go!” Lee said.
They walked into the middle of the river and dove in, the ninja swam down and found the entrance, after a few minutes they got to land and found themselves in a maze like cave. In the distance, they heard what sounded like screams.
“Naruto…” Sakura said.
“It could take us forever to get there!” Kiba said.
“I can see him now, but I can also see that the walls are enforced with chakra, they might be impossible to break though,” Neji said.
“Well let us try! LEAF HURRICANE!” Lee shouted, slamming his foot into the wall, which was followed by, “OW! OW! OW! You were right Neji, very stable, ow…”
“N-n-naruto…” Sakura whispered as the others debated what to do. All of the sudden Sakura screamed and an insane amount of chakra flew out of her. “NO! I WILL NOT LET NARUTO DIE! I WILL SAVE HIM, I WILL BE STONG!” Sakura shouted, punching the wall with immense force.
The wall crumbled and Sakura looked back at the others, who were wide eyed, with awe.
“Neji, what direction is he?” Sakura said, as Neji just stared, “NEJI!”
“Uh, yes I’m sorry that way,” Neji pointed.
After a few minutes Sakura punched through the last wall, pausing only to let out a tear because of Naruto’s screams. As soon as they finished blasting though the walls, they saw the giant statue and Itachi and Kisame on the hands with the other Akatsuki members being allusions. They then saw Naruto levitating surrounded by purple energy, but no red chakra. It seemed that they were having a hard time stealing the Kyuubi’s chakra.
“Itachi, Kisame take care of our visitors and tell us when you’re done,” The leader said.
“Yes,” Itachi said.
The two jumped off the hand and the purple energy dissipated and the other illusions disappeared.
“Let’s make this quick, we’re having a hard enough time getting the kids chakra out,” Kisame said.
“Right ‘sigh’,” Itachi replied.
The battle started, Kiba and Shikamaru attacked Kisame and Ino and Neji took on Itachi, while Sakura ran to help Naruto.



“Naruto, naruto are you okay, please say something!” Sakura pleaded, healing him.
“S-sakura-Chan ‘ugh’ I’m… I’m f-f-fi……” Naruto said, passing out again.
‘Phew, at least he’s alive, I think he’ll be fine,’ Sakura thought.
Although, Naruto was doing alright, the others weren’t, unlike the last time, Itachi and Kisame weren’t illusions, they were real and at full power, the group was barely able defend themselves, let alone attack. Just then, Sakura stood up and walked towards the fight.
“STOP! Guy’s take Naruto out I’ll hold them off,” Sakura said.
“WHAT!?” They all shouted.
“Sakura you can’t, not by yourself!” Ino said.
“She won’t have to, I sense the jonin coming,” Neji said.
“Okay, go I’ll hold them off until they come!” Sakura yelled, but her friends stayed. “I SAID GO!” She screamed, they grudgingly ran over to Naruto and got him out, while defending against their attacks. Sakura stood in front of the entrance, blocking their way.
“HA! You think you can stop us!” Kisame said, as Itachi smirked.
Kisame charged at her, slicing her with his sword, she didn’t move, she didn’t block, all she did was pull her fist back and punch. The punch broke through the sword and hit Kisame in the chest sending him flying.
“Hmm, impressive,” Itachi said.
“Yes well, you hurt Naruto and I won’t stand for it!” She shouted.
“Aww, is he your boyfriend,” Kisame said, getting up.
“Yes, yes he is… AND YOU WILL PAY FOR HURTING HIM!” She yelled, running for Kisame, or so they thought.
She made a sharp turn, jumped and plowed her foot into Itachi’s chest, putting him through the cave wall. She pounded and pounded him and when Kisame came up behind her, she spun around and kicked him in the face, sending him back into the wall he was in just a few minutes ago. Although, she seemed to have no problem holding them off, she knew she was running out of Chakra and her punches didn’t seem to be actually hurting them.



Just then, Jiraiya broke through the ceiling, with Kakashi, Yamato and a few anbu black ops.
“I think it would be wise for us to leave, Itachi,” Kisame advised.
“I think you’re right,” Itachi agreed. “Don’t worry, we’ll meet again, soon enough!” He said.
The two disappeared, and the effort made by the group to stop them proved futile.
“Damn it, they got away!” Jiraiya said.
“Where’s the others and Naruto?” Yamato asked.
“Outside, they were really h-hur……!’” Sakura said, collapsing.
“Sakura! She’s okay, just some bruising and chakra exhaustion,” Kakashi remarked.
“Okay, I’ll go with anbu and try to track down Itachi and Kisame. Kakashi, you and Yamato take the others back to Konoha,” Jiriaya said.
“Okay,” Kakashi said, picking up Sakura.
Yamato went and got Naruto and they carried the two back to the village, with Lee, Neji, Kiba and Ino following behind, tired and slightly hurt as well. All of them were admitted into the hospital and after a few hours everyone but Sakura and Naruto were released.



“S-sakura-Chan?” Naruto asked, looking to his left.
“Na-naruto-kun?” Sakura asked, turning to look at him, while sitting up.
“Sakura-Chan, I heard what you did,” Naruto said.
“You did?” Sakura said, sounding proud.
“Yes, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? TAKING THEM ON BY YOUR SELF! WHAT IF YOU WERE KILLED! WHAT IF…” Naruto scolded her.
“N-naruto,” Sakura stuttered.
“Sakura, I love you and… and I don't know what I’d do with out you, please, please promise you’ll never do that again,” Naruto pleaded.
“Naruto, I-I love you too and I did that, because, if you died, I wouldn’t know what to do!” Sakura said.
“S-sakura…” He said, sitting up, while wincing.
Sakura and Naruto kissed, there lips locked for a long time. They released for air and Naruto’s sapphire eyes, stared into Sakura’s emeralds, knowing that they other loved each other more that anything.
“Thank you Sakura-Chan,” Naruto said.
“For what?” Sakura asked.
“For loving me so much,” He replied.
“Well I do, I love you more than anything,” Sakura said.
“Me too, me too,” Naruto said, giving her a kiss, full of emotion.
